Frequently Asked Questions
Experience
If you enjoy the outdoors or whether you are curious about what it is really like to live outdoors and willing to learn then join Jay. Camping is part of a majority of the packages and you will find a rough guide alongside each package description as some are more advanced, however if unclear get in touch and Jay will clarify.
Level of fitness* & participation
A basic level of fitness is required as most of the taught activities lead on to practical application requiring active participation - for example short excursions to explore the woodland environment or for collecting fire wood or if your course includes open canoes then paddling is a requirement. To get the most out of the experience some level of participation is necessary and this might include undertaking routine camping activities such as washing up and erecting sleeping accommodation.
*If you are unsure about the level of fitness required or to discuss whether you would be healthy to participate please discuss with Jay or your GP, respectively.
